Hi Guys, I've been in touch with the Perth Mint to see if I can get a limited edition Clamshell case commissioned for this coin. I'm just posting this to see what kind of interest there will be for this and what kind of price point you'd be willing to pay. Because I've purchased 600 of these coins, I gave them a rough estimate of 600 clamshells. If I can't sell that many with the coins/separately, I'll simply use them with next years release so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I should be requesting more. I've only been told its possible so far, and it's still being worked out .
I've only requested for me, its up to them if they want to sell it lol. Maybe I should remove "exclusive" from the title...
:lol: what's the point of having a carded horse in a clamshell? This is for the singles sold outside of the Perth Mint.
It doesn't exist yet. This is just a pre thread to see what kind of interest there is. As mentioned still working out details with Perth will post when I have more info.
I don't see the point. If really it is a series, better to have a casing that can hold multiple coins. Unless you're saying that there's a chance that it's not a series.
I for one won't buy the case. Agree with Altima, I rather buy a case/tray that can hold the entire series.
I think you will have difficulty selling a whole 600 to the 600 who previously bought coins. Not everyone will want one, and some people may have ordered multiple coins. I ordered 25 coins, if I ordered a case it would be one, not 25. So be more conservative with your estimate as to not be wasting your money. If they could produce 300 for you, and the price difference isn't much. I think that would be a better purchase.
Do you have any pictures of what they will look like? Is it a case for one coin with the Perth Mint logo on?
If they do go ahead can you send them directly from PM so we dont have to wait to go to canada then back?
